The film, titled Schumacher ’94 – The Birth of a Legend, is scheduled for worldwide release on October 2, 2026, and will feature a personal contribution from Schumacher’s wife, Corinna Schumacher.
The documentary will take viewers back to a season that changed Schumacher’s life and established him as one of Formula 1’s biggest stars. At just 25 years old, the German driver entered the 1994 season as a highly regarded Benetton racer but finished it as a world champion. His campaign began with victory in Brazil and eventually culminated in one of the most controversial championship finales in F1 history at Adelaide, where he edged Williams rival Damon Hill by a single point.

While that film looked across his life and career, the new production takes a much narrower approach by focusing on the extraordinary 12 months that defined his arrival at the top of Formula 1.
