WEST LAFAYETTE, IN — In a decision that has sent shockwaves through the college basketball world, the nation’s No. 1 high school basketball recruit, Jamari Westbrook, announced his commitment to Purdue University, stunning blue-blood programs across the South and East Coast.
Westbrook, a 6-foot-8 five-star small forward out of Houston, Texas, had long been expected to stay closer to home.
