NAIA Announces toronto Blue Jays Prospect Noah Palmese as NAIA Ball Reliever of the Year and First-Team All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially named Toronto Blue Jays prospect Noah Palmese as the 2025 NAIA Ball Reliever of the Year. In addition to the prestigious pitching accolade, Palmese was also honored with a First-Team All-American selection, cementing his place as one of the most dominant and impactful arms in collegiate baseball this season.

A standout relief pitcher for the Indiana Tech Warriors, Palmese emerged as a key figure in the team’s late-inning success, showcasing electric stuff, pinpoint command, and an unshakable demeanor on the mound. His performance not only helped guide the Warriors to a deep postseason run but also drew the attention of MLB scouts, culminating in a professional opportunity with the Toronto Blue Jays organization.

Dominant Season on the Mound

Palmese’s 2025 campaign was nothing short of spectacular. Appearing in 27 games out of the bullpen, he posted a minuscule 0.84 ERA, striking out 68 batters in just 43 innings of work. His WHIP hovered around an astonishing 0.77, and opponents batted a mere .148 against him. He recorded 12 saves on the season and allowed only four earned runs — an impressive testament to his consistency and dominance.

Known for his sharp slider and mid-90s fastball, Palmese often overwhelmed hitters, coming into high-leverage situations and shutting down opposing offenses. Whether called upon to preserve narrow leads or stop rallies in their tracks, he delivered time and again.

Recognition and Impact

The NAIA Ball Reliever of the Year Award, presented annually to the top relief pitcher in the NAIA, recognizes outstanding performance, leadership, and contributions to team success. Palmese joins a select group of elite relievers who have left an indelible mark on the collegiate game.

“Noah was as reliable and fearless a reliever as we’ve had in recent memory,” said Indiana Tech head coach Kip McWilliams. “He embraced every big moment and led by example. His presence in the bullpen gave us a huge advantage and tremendous confidence every time we had a lead late in the game.”

Palmese’s First-Team All-American selection further underscores his role as one of the premier talents in the NAIA. Among a field of outstanding collegiate athletes nationwide, Palmese stood out not only statistically, but in his approach, work ethic, and competitive fire.

From NAIA to the Pros

Following his standout season, Palmese caught the eye of Major League Baseball scouts, ultimately signing with the Toronto Blue Jays organization. His rise from NAIA reliever to professional prospect is a story of perseverance and development, and his success shines a light on the level of talent within the NAIA ranks.

For Palmese, the honors are a culmination of years of hard work and determination. “It’s an incredible honor to be recognized in this way,” Palmese said. “I’m grateful to my coaches, teammates, and family who’ve supported me throughout this journey. I loved every moment competing at Indiana Tech, and I’m excited for what lies ahead with the Blue Jays.”

Legacy at Indiana Tech

Palmese leaves Indiana Tech with a legacy as one of the most effective relievers in program history. His leadership on and off the field helped shape the team culture, and his competitive spirit inspired those around him.

With his name now etched into NAIA history and a professional career on the horizon, Noah Palmese represents the very best of what NAIA baseball has to offer — talent, tenacity, and a relentless drive to succeed.

As he begins the next chapter of his baseball journey with the Toronto Blue Jays, the NAIA community celebrates his achievements and looks forward to seeing one of its brightest stars continue to shine on the national stage.
